Earlier today, I raised the 'Redevelop the Racecourse' petition and the significance of over 16,000 signatures in Parliament.
Such overwhelming support for the creation of the first international sporting stadium in North Wales demonstrates the need for such a scheme in Wrexham that has been ignored by the Welsh Labour Government for 20 years.
From the beginning, I have been engaging with Wrexham Council, local stakeholders, and community groups to discuss the bid and how to maximise our chances of winning. The Stadium for the North project is vital, as it would allow the Racecourse Ground to play host once again to international sport.
