As you may have heard, Alyn Family Doctors have announced that they are opening a consultation on GP services in Gresford. In a letter to residents, which you can access here, Alyn Family Doctors wrote the following the closure of the Gresford site in March 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic they are seeking to make the arrangements permanent, focusing services on their Llay and Rossett surgeries.
I oppose this proposal and I support those across Gresford and the surrounding area that are campaigning against the surgery closure.
Alyn Family Doctors have asked that residents and users of the surgery make their voices heard by taking part in the consultation, which will form part of the presentation to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s Primary Care Panel when they apply for ratification of the proposal. I think it is very important that we all take part in the consultation and I would encourage you to do so.
The consultation period will close at midnight on Monday 23rd August and you can respond in the following ways:
- Email: AlynFamilyDoctors.GresfordEngagement@wales.nhs.uk
- Post: Gresford Engagement, Llay Health Centre, School Road, Llay, Wrexham LL12 0TR
You can also speak to an independent organisation, North Wales Community Health Council, in confidence in the following ways:
- Email: yourvoice@wales.nhs.uk
- Post: Mrs Carol Williams, North Wales Community Health Council, 11 Llys Castan, Ffordd Y Parc, Parc Menai, Bangor, LL57 4FH
- Telephone: 01248 679284 (ext 3)
A campaign group has also set up a petition on the matter, which can be accessed here.
