Over the past few weeks Royal Mail’s postman and women have been working tirelessly across Wrexham and the entire UK to ensure people, communities and businesses stay connected during the COVID-19 crisis.
Wrexham’s MP, Sarah Atherton, has thanked Wrexham’s Postal workers for their contribution to the COVID-19 response.
In a letter to Wrexham Postal workers, Sarah Atherton wrote:
“Thank you for all of your tireless work during the COVID-19 crisis.
“While the rest of the country stays at home, teams like yours across the country have kept families and friends connected. Particularly for the most vulnerable in society, letters and newspapers play a vital role in the delivery of information, and act as a connection to the rest of the world.
“While the country is focused on the wellbeing of hospital staff, and understandably so, I wanted you to know that other vital professionals have not been forgotten and that you will always have my gratitude.”
Sarah has also been vocal of her support for our postal workers on social media through her support of the ‘Thumbs up for our posties’ campaign.
On a social media post, Sarah wrote:
“Thumbs up for our posties who are doing a great job continuing to deliver letters and parcels, including to the most vulnerable who are unable to leave their homes during this crisis."
