Vulnerable Residents in Wales

Over the next few days people, who have been identified as extremely vulnerable by the Welsh Government, will receive a letter from Wales’ Chief Medical Officer explaining what measures they should adopt to protect themselves.

Prime Minister’s ‘lockdown’ announcement

In an announcement both brief and informative, Prime Minister Boris Johnson this evening (March 23) announced the effective lockdown of the United Kingdom to slow the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus).

 

Use of British Army to deliver medical equipment welcomed

The Shadow Minister for Health has welcomed the news that the British Army is on standby to deliver essential medical kit – such as masks, protective glasses, gloves, and other PPE – during the outbreak of Covid-19 (Coronavirus).

The Welsh Assembly will receive at least £475 million from the UK Government to make sure they have the resources they need to support people and businesses through COVID-19. This will mean they can increase funding for the NHS and provide grants for businesses.
