Last Friday, in Westminster, I voted for the European Withdrawal Bill, an act the people of Wrexham instructed me to do when I was elected as their MP.
I am delivering on my promise to the people of Wrexham to get Brexit done. The withdrawal Agreement has passed its Second Reading in Parliament, as we finally release the country from the stranglehold of indecision.
I will play my part to ensure the UK ceases to be an EU Member State at 11pm on January 31, 2019. The Queen’s Speech set out not only how we will maximise the opportunities of Brexit – taking back control of our laws, our trade, our borders and upholding democracy, something I know many people of Wrexham hold dearly.
I will work around the clock to repay the trust voters places in me at the work starts with getting Brexit done.
Once this has been achieved, whether you voted to leave or remain, we must work together to secure a brighter future for Wrexham and our country as a whole.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and wish you all a very happy 2020.
