Last week, the Defence Select Committee inquiry, 'Women in the Armed Forces', held its third oral evidence session. During the session, the committee heard from Lieutenant General James Swift OBE, Chief of Defence People at the MOD; Samantha des Forges, Direct of Diversity and Inclusion at the MOD; Air Vice Marshal Maria Byford QHDS; and Baroness Goldie, Minister of State at the MOD.
This was the last oral-evidence session of the inquiry and, now, the inquiry will move to write a report on the evidence gathered with recommendations for the Ministry of Defence.
