Over the next few days people, who have been identified as extremely vulnerable by the Welsh Government, will receive a letter from Wales’ Chief Medical Officer explaining what measures they should adopt to protect themselves. Those who fall into this category are being asked to stay at home for 12 weeks along with adopting other sensible measures.
The letter will provide further information on what support is available to those who have been asked to adopt shielding measures, including details on how to apply for the food box delivery scheme. If you do not receive a letter and feel as if you should fall under the ‘extremely vulnerable’ category, then contact your GP.
Please remember that our services are under additional pressure, those who are able to get support from family, friends and neighbours are encouraged to do so, easing pressure on our vital services. Remember to adhere to social distancing measures. Stay home, protect the NHS and save lives.
