It was great to visit Coleg Cambria to meet the team there, see around their £21 million redevelopment, and to have lunch at their incredible 'ial Restaurant'.
The restaurant follows a 'farm to fork' strategy, meaning that the restaurant farms its own meat, grows its own fruits and vegetables, and produces its own dairy with the support of colleagues at Northop and Llysfasi farms. This is therefore an environmentally sustainable model which also supports the local economy!
In addition, the restaurant is staffed by students from Coleg Cambria and educates and trains aspiring chefs and hospitality students, nurturing their skills, resulting in quality produce and great customer service. It was a very delicious meal and I would encourage all to go and try it out
