Monday marked the beginning of the annual ‘volunteers’ week’, celebrating the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering.
Wrexham’s MP, Sarah Atherton, has taken the opportunity to thank volunteers in Wrexham and across the UK.
Sarah said:
“This volunteers’ week is especially important to thank all of our volunteers for their kindness and compassion, who have done an extraordinary job supporting our vulnerable and those encountering difficulties during these exceptionally difficult times.
“I have been humbled to see our community come together and people offering up their free time to help those in need. From volunteers delivering food to our vulnerable, to volunteers producing face visors using 3D printers for our keyworkers.”
