On Friday, 27th November Wrexham's MP, Sarah Atherton, made a socially distanced visit to Home Start in Wrexham to hear about the impact that COVID-19 has had on them and the services that they provide to families with young children in Wrexham.
Commenting, Sarah said:
"This year has been extremely difficult due to the coronavirus pandemic, I am pleased that Home Start have been able to provide a lifeline to many struggling families with young children in my constituency.
"I was particularly impressed to learn, that despite the pandemic, they managed to successfully launch their 'Baby Equipment Bank', providing pre-loved essential items to families in need."
In order to use the Baby Equipment Bank, families can ask their health professionals such as midwives and health visitors to make a referral on their behalf.
Home-Start Wrexham welcome donations from the public but there are some criteria for items being donated, so they advise that you call them prior to donating or have a look on their Facebook page for more information.
