I am thrilled to share the news that the National Lottery Heritage Fund has awarded a development grant of £45,000 for A Museum of Two Halves.
This project is to develop proposals to refurbish the Grade 2 Wrexham Wrexham Museum building into a part local history museum and part nationally-styled football museum with improved facilities, and the fit-out of a new off-site collections store, alongside a program of locally and nationally focused activities.
This two-part museum will bring the whole building back into use, increasing its potential as a hub for learning, enjoyment and well-being.
The Football Museum for Wales's location in the same building as Wrexham Museum will highlight that this sporting heritage is an integral part of our wider heritage, both here in Wrexham and nationwide.
