I am pleased to be taking part in the RSPCA's 'Dog Kind' Campaign, which aims to help owners best understand their dogs needs.
As the weather gets warmer and lockdown restrictions are eased, the RSPCA has produced advice on how to look after your pets at this time.
It has been a strange few months with many people staying at home, however as lockdown restrictions ease some pets may face separation anxiety.
The RSPCA ‘Dog Kind’ campaign aims to help people address this common welfare issue and they have provided great advice on their website: https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/dogs/kind
Dog owners may also wish to take a look at the RSPCA website for advice on how to get their pets used to seeing people wearing face masks.
If you are planning to take your pet away this summer, the RSPCA has advice on how to transport them safely and make sure that the experience of unfamiliar surroundings is stress-free and fun for all the family.
Finally, we must remember whilst we are enjoying the beautiful summer weather, that dogs die in hot cars. Never leave your dog alone in a car on a warm day.
