Labour is imposing an unnecessary 20mph speed limit in built-up areas in Wales. Whilst the Welsh Government will be spending £32m on the scheme, most of the country continues to struggle with the cost-of-living.
This will mean ..
- Increased journey times
- Poor compliance with 20mph speed limits, supported by RAC research
- £32m wasted that could be better spent on what affects most – the cost of living
Whilst introducing 20mph speed limits outside schools, playgrounds and high streets is logical, a blanket roll-out is truly ludicrous. This decision should be up to councils who know their local areas best.
