I completely understand the concerns of residents and businesses about Wrexham’s town centre and that’s why I’m campaigning for more investment in our town, a reduction in homelessness and changes to parking. I’m continuing my support for local businesses - we have so many in Wrexham, and they all make Wrexham the special place that it is.
First and foremost, I am campaigning in Wrexham and Westminster to make sure Wrexham receives its fair share of funding from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund. I’m working with the Council to ensure that the application is as strong as possible. And I have met with Wrexham Football Club, around whose stadium the Wrexham bid is centred to make sure the plan supports their vision.
Parking is an issue for many in Wrexham, which is having knock-on detrimental effects on businesses and tourism across the town. That’s why I’m asking for your views on the issues relating to parking, so that these can be raised in Parliament and so action can be taken by the Council and Private Parking Authorities.
